Toby Schuetgens: The Sound of a Self-Built Life.
Welcome. I'm Toby. For years, I pursued a life defined by honest work, which eventually led me to the forge and this homestead. My music is the documentation of that journey. It's the sound of the steel cooling, the horses running, and the philosophy that allowed me to trade the constant paycheck for genuine independence. A Hard-Earned Anthem for the Independent Soul.
Toby Schuetgens' 'High and Low' is a powerful modern country ballad that speaks directly to the core struggle of the modern man: balancing success with the relentless grind. THE STORY BEHIND THE 86
On paper, 86 is just a number. It’s the year I was born. But to us, it’s a mindset, a code, and a legacy.
Born Before the Noise: Class of ’86 represents the last generation that grew up before the world went fully digital. We grew up with grease on our hands and dirt on our boots. We stayed outside until the streetlights came on, learned the value of a handshake, and knew that if you wanted something built to last, you had to build it yourself. Carrying the 86 means honoring that timeless culture—where manners matter, hard work is respected, and real-life presence trumps online noise.
The Power of a Fresh Start: In numbers, 86 carries a hidden meaning: the end of one chapter and the bold start of another. It’s about stripping away the clutter, cutting out the fake, and refocusing on what truly matters. It’s the courage to reset, stand tall as the rock in the surf, and build a life on your own terms.
Why We Wear It: When you wear the 86, you’re not just wearing a year. You’re making a statement.
You’re saying:
- I am grounded in real values.
- I value character over noise and respect over talk.
- I am ready to fire it up and forge my own path.
We are the TS Homestead Nation. Proud, steady, and built from good wood.
We're 86 - Wear 86. Stand Steady. Fire It Up.

Really appreciate the creativity that went into this one. Lots of great driving energy from the guitars especially.
Very solid track here! The production and mix are spot on for this style of track!
It's got a great raw energy to it and a bit of an old school vibe with a little bit of country and southern rock thrown in. This is all really cool!
Those guitars got some crunch.. nice lead line at about 2:40. I dig the fiddle too.
Really enjoyed the story telling throughout your songwriting and catchy melody on this song
Beautifully crafted acoustic sound! The composition flows naturally with smooth transitions, giving it a timeless and heartfelt vibe, I really appreciate your submission
I like how the lead guitars follows the vocal melody on this one! Haunting guitar tones as well. This is a bit more on the southern rock side of things.
I think it's a great song, I really like the semi-dark cinematic style and sound of the song and I thought the chorus is amazing, very powerful :-)
Feel Free is a solid jam. Great visual storytelling. Strong vocals that have a bit of a country rock flair. Funky bass low end. Rolling overdriven guitar waves. Soaring melody lines. Quick flowing jam arrangement. Well crafted.
I really enjoyed the flow of your track and thought the production quality was excellent. The instrumentation was well-done and the rhythm had a nice groove.
